Data Deletion

There is no account to delete. The app never creates one, and your videos never leave your phone — so there is none of your content to erase from our servers, because it never got there.

This page covers only the anonymous technical measurements described in section 4 of the privacy policy.

1. Stop all collection, immediately

Uninstall the app, or clear its data from Settings → Apps → Compress Video → Storage → Clear data.

Either way, the random installation identifier is destroyed along with the local data. Nothing further is sent, and if you reinstall, a new identifier unrelated to the old one is generated.

2. Have already-sent measurements deleted

Write to kwizustudio@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion".

The measurements contain no name, no email address and no account identifier — so we cannot find "your" records from your identity. For the request to be actionable, please include:

your phone's exact make and model;
the language you use the app in;
the approximate period during which you used it (the month is enough).

We then delete every record matching those criteria. If several devices match, all of them are erased: the error is made in your favour, never in ours.

Answered and executed within 30 days, as required by the GDPR.

3. What gets deleted

All matching records: the usage events, the dimension and bitrate measurements, the device context, the installation identifier and the associated IP address. No copy remains, and no aggregate traceable back to those records.

4. What does not exist, and so does not apply

No user account, no sign-up, no password.
No video, thumbnail, file name or path — none of that is ever transmitted.
No advertising identifier, no precise location.

5. Automatic deletion

With no action on your part, technical measurements are deleted after twelve months at the latest.
